About Magic Mushroom Trip and who publishes it
Who publishes Magic Mushroom Trip, how the pages are researched and checked, why product links go to Dutch-Smart, and what this site does not do.

Magic Mushroom Trip is published by the team behind the Dutch smartshop Dutch-Smart. The product links on this site go to Dutch-Smart, and when you buy through such a link, the shop earns from the sale. We say this first because it matters for how you read the rest.
Why this site exists
Most pages about how long a mushroom trip lasts give a single number and move on. We wanted one site that follows a trip through time, from the first half hour to the day after, and that explains what typically happens in each phase and why. That includes the parts that do not help sales: who should not take mushrooms or truffles at all, why a second portion is a bad idea, and when a hard trip becomes an emergency.
How the pages are put together
- Timing and effects come from public health and harm reduction services: Jellinek and DRUGSinfo (Trimbos Institute) in the Netherlands, FRANK in the UK and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation in Australia.
- Measured numbers come from published research, such as the pharmacokinetic studies of Holze et al. (2023) and Brown et al. (2017) and the survey of 1,993 people by Carbonaro et al. (2016). Every study is linked where we use it.
- The waveform on the start page is a schematic. It is drawn from the published timing and is not a measurement of any single trip.
- Laws are checked against the legal texts or official summaries, with the date we checked them.
- The trip reports are composites built from recurring patterns in published reports, and they are labelled as such. We do not publish testimonials or reviews.
- We make no medical or health claims, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
Every page shows when it was last updated. If something is out of date or wrong, Dutch-Smart's customer service can pass it on to us.
Products on this site
We show magic truffles only for a stay in the Netherlands, where fresh truffles are legal, ordered from mild to strong. Descriptions of the products are the shop's own descriptions. Product cards and prices come straight from the shop's catalogue. The site and the shop are for adults (18+) only.
Who is behind the shop
